Beverly J Tanzyus' Obituary
Decatur-Beverly J. Tanzyus, 84, of Decatur, passed away at 1:35 a.m. Thursday, May 09, 2013 in Hickory Point Christian Village with her family by her side.
Beverly was born November 10, 1928 in Decatur, the daughter of James Leroy and Edna M. (Kiembortz) Coberly. She was previously employed as an operator with Illinois Bell. She was a volunteer at Rock Springs Nature Center and an avid Cub fan. She married Robert C. Tanzyus on April 19, 1952. He preceded her in death January 18, 2011. They shared over sixty years together.
Beverly leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons Mike Tanzyus of Decatur and Jon Tanzyus and wife Becky of Decatur, daughter Patty Feely of Champaign, grandchildren Travis, April, Olivia, Clare and Conor, great-grandchildren Ian, Cassidy, and Lauren several nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Beverly was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, grandson Aaron, brother James Coberly.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hickory Point Christian Village, Comfort Keepers and all the hospice nurses for their love, care and compassion.
Services to celebrate Beverly's life will be 10am Tuesday may 14, 2013 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Burial with 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
