Beverly Kay Trueblood's Obituary
Decatur – Beverly Kay Trueblood, 78, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025.
Beverly was born on May 26, 1946, in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Herbert and Juanita (Knight) Smith. A member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Beverly worked at the Decatur Garment Factory. She married Lester Trueblood on January 29, 2000, in Decatur, IL and he preceded her in death on March 20, 2018.
Beverly is survived by her children: Richard Smith (Linda) of LA, Tina Smith of Peoria, Laura Abbott (Russell) of Flora, and Venus Harrington (Ronnell) of Decatur; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, children: Thomas Trueblood, Leslie Ferguson, Mindy Trueblood, and Lucindie Miller; siblings: William Smith and Sharon Frye; and son-in-law Charles Miller.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 10am until the service time of 11am at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Burial will follow in South Macon Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Beverly Trueblood Memorial Fund c/o Venus Harrington.
