Bill John Korich's Obituary
Bill John Korich, 88, of Decatur, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015, at his home with his family by his side.
Bill was born September 21, 1926 in Oakland, CA, to Jovan B and Jovana (Spaich) Kuraisa. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran. He married Wanda Louise Bundy on December 15, 1946 in Normal, IL. She passed away on September 28, 2005. He was a purchasing manager for Caterpillar for 42 years.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, an author of two books “A Spiritual Love Story” and “Courage & Strength”. Bill was currently writing a devotional book. He also loved to draw, write poetry, sing, host and entertain, a great cook and loved to help others. His favorite words were “Food for thought” and he ended every poem he wrote with “Honest I Do”
Bill was survived by his four children, Robert )Liza) Korich of North Carolina, Richard (Susan) Korich of O’Fallon, Jeffrey (Alicia) Korich of Norcross, GA and Gloria (Denny) Greene of Decatur; his brother, Ralph Kuraisa of Oakland, CA; his sister, Millie (Mike) Fleming of Oakland, CA; his seven grandchildren, Sean (Remy) Korich, Sabrina (Dan) Wilson, Samantha Korich, Rachel (Antonio) Mireles, Rebekah Scott, Jordan Korich and Alexander Korich; his twelve great-grandchildren; his one great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda; his four brothers, Stan, Mill, Chris, and Don; and his sister, Ag.

Services to celebrate the life of Bill John Korich will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Entombment will be in Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery where full military rites will be conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or New Life Pregnancy.
