Billie Niles' Obituary
Billie Lee Niles, 93, a resident of Greencastle in Loves Park, IL, was taken to her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 13, 2024. She formerly resided in Mt. Pulaski, IL.
Bille was born on September 15, 1930, in Decatur Il to Rennie and Bessie Erlenbusch Jones, the youngest of ten children. She married Udell Bellatti, son of Fred and Nellie Bellatti, on April 18,1947 in Mt. Pulaski, Il. They later divorced.
Billie married Ralph Niles on June 15,1985, in Springfield Il. The resided in Lancaster SC until Ralph’s death in 2004. Billie then moved to Tucson AZ and returned to IL in 2016.
Billie was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She was also a homemaker for many years.
She is survived by her children, Cherly Thorp of Tucson AZ, Gerald Bellatti of Springfield IL, Teresa (Scott) Morehead of Roscoe IL, Paul (Jennie) Bellatti of Ocala FL and Cheryl (Bob) Hicks of Auburn IL; seven grandchildren, Darrell (Rachel) Thorp of Torrance CA, Karla (Tom) Schroeder of Urbana Il, Heather (Aaron) Lemoine of Houston TX, Matthew Morehead of Albuquerque NM, Gary Howard of Mt. Pulaski, Rhiannon (Tony) Stephan of Ocala FL and Brandis (Larry) Hall of Ocala FL; ten great-grandchildren as well as numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph; three brothers, six sisters, son-in-law, Charles Thorp and her grandson, John Bellatti.
Billie was employed at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski Il and Wal-Mart and PTL in Lancaster SC.
Billie loved Serving the Lord and attending church. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.
A visitation for Billie will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 12pm to 1pm at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow. Burial rites will be held at Graceland Cemetery.
