Missouri – Bobbie Roy Lane, 58, of Decatur, IL, formerly of Springfield, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Ste. Genevieve County Hospital, Ste. Genevieve, MO.
Bobbie was born on January 3, 1963, in Springfield, IL, the son of Archie Lester and Barbara (Stein) Lane. A U.S. Army veteran, Bobbie worked as a truck driver. He loved to grill out, spend time with family and attend NASCAR races.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Michelle of Decatur; children: Tiffany Lane (Nate Chapman) and son (Bobbie’s grandson) Oliver of Decatur, Wesley Lane of Springfield and Heather Lane of Springfield; siblings: Vickie Borgemeyer of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Steven (Shannon) Mayes of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Jennifer Blair of Alexander, IL, and Barbara (Damon) Runyon of Ste. Genevieve, MO; stepdaughter Amanda (Jed) Pitman and daughter (Bobbie’s step granddaughter) Coralynn; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bobbie was preceded in death by his parents.
In keeping with Bobbie’s wishes, cremation services will be provided by the Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. No service will be held.
