DECATUR- Bobby C. Henry, 57 of Decatur, passed away at 11:28 pm Thursday, April 22, 2010 in St. Mary's Hospital with his family by his side.
Service to celebrate Bobby's life will be held at 10 am Monday, April 26, 2010 in the chapel of the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home conducted by Pastor David Pinta. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 Sunday evening in the funeral home. The family requests casual attire for the services. Interment with Military Rites will be in the Veterans section of Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the SPCA or to the Blue Knights Illinois Chapter IV. Bobby was born on May 26, 1952 in York, PA a son of Charles and Rubye (Meadows) Henry. He graduated from Eastern High School in 1970. Bobby was a patrol officer for the City of Decatur Police Department. Bobby married Tricia L. Wise on September 20, 2003. He was currently serving as the President of the Blue Knights Illinois Chapter IV and he was a member of the PBPA Local 39. Bobby proudly served in the U.S. Navy for ten years. Bobby loved his career in law enforcement, the Blue Knights, his family and his many friends.
Surviving are his wife- Tricia, daughters- Alicia Henry and Kristen Henry, step-son- Preston McLean of Decatur, daughter-in-law- Sammie Spicer of Decatur, sister- Jackie Lapes and her husband Dr. George Lapes of York, PA., granddaughter- Angela, mother-in-law- Cheryl Adam of Chicago, sister-in-law- Angela Glancy of Decatur, grandmother- Evelyn Letts of Decatur, nephew- Ashton Wise, niece- Keren Louv and nephew- Christopher Gross.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister- Donna Jean.
