Bonnie Sue Elder's Obituary
Bonnie Sue Elder, 56, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.
Bonnie was born May 9, 1962, in Melrose Park, Illinois to Richard Leroy and Janet Elane (Nation) Kelley. She married Howard E. Elder on March 19, 2011. Bonnie loved to clean, cook, cut hair, sing, and of course, love on her grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; her 10 children, Jonathan (Kirra) Ellis of Decatur, Nichole (Steven) Farrow of Mt. Zion, Matthew Ellis of Mt. Zion, Heidi (Brian) Van Scyoc of Blue Mound, William “Drew” (Mary Jo Fromm) Ray II of Decatur, Beverly (Chris Romani) Davis of Mt. Vernon, Jessica (Michael) Hinton of Decatur, Holly (Cody) Flanders of Mt. Zion, Virginia Elder of Decatur and Cheyenne Elder of Decatur; her mother, Janet Kelley of Decatur; seventeen grandchildren; her brother, Richard (Brenda) Kelley, Jr. of Decatur; her sister, Charlotte (Gary) Hubner of Oakley; and special friend, Donald Davis of Blue Mound.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Kelley, Sr. and her granddaughter, Madalynn Van Scyoc.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of Bonnie Elder will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Graceland Cemetery.
