I’m sorry to hear of Bonnie’s passing. My condolences to family and friends. Bonnie and I both taught 5th grade at Salem School from 1969 to 1973. She was my mentor and helped me in countless ways in the early years of my teaching career. Those were good years filled with many pleasant memories.

My husband and I were just talking about Bonnie! She was one of our favorite people in Decatur. Her great sense of humor, her willingness to share and trade plants and her straight forward way of talking were a few of the many things we adored about her. Spent many a day sitting in her garden talking about plants. She will be sorely missed but lovingly remembered.
Sorry to here of Mrs. Andrewson’s passing. She was my 5th grade teacher and I remember her talking to us about the Challenger explosion. A very nice person and teacher. I was telling my daughter about her this weekend. Andy Kerr
I was sorry to learn of Bonny's death. She was a fellow U of IL Master Gardener whom I enjoyed knowing very much. I recall seeing her beautiful garden on one of our garden walks. I am sending Bonny's obituary to other Master Gardeners who will remember her.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Mrs. Andrewson was my 5th grade teacher at Salem 47 years ago. I have very fond memories of that time and class. She was one of the many great teachers at that school. I later visited with her when she would come into the store I worked at. Lisa McArthur
