Brantley Gene Reed's Obituary
Decatur – Brantley Gene Reed, son of Angela and Tony Reed, born December 1, 2013, has gone to spread his wings on Monday, May 26, 2014 from home.
Even though on this earth for a short time he touched so many hearts and lives. From the First Student Bus Co. where his mom worked to Jenner Sales where his daddy worked, family, friends, and everyone from Central Illinois APA Pool Players to Macon Speedway racers and anyone that had the privilege to meet him in between. He lit up a room with his big blue eyes, his smile, his laughs and giggles.
In addition to his parents, Brantley is survived by his big brother Stanley Ray Reed; grandparents: Cheryl & Bob Painter, David & Carolyn Jones, and Mark & Sheila Reed; great grandparents: Beverly Davis, Vivian Hill, and Dixie Reed; aunts: Jessica Strumpfer, Jamie Jones and her children Baileigh and Braiden, Melanie Weaver and her daughter Brooklyn, Samantha (Justin) Southerland and their children Austin “A.J.”, Sarah, and Tyler; uncles: Mark II (Katrina Reed) and their son Mark III (Trey), Dustin (Tasha) Reed and their children Corianna, Caleb, Dustin, and Mark Andrew.
Preceding him in death to help with Brantley till we on earth can join him are: Marvin & Shirley Jones, James Wilcutt, George Davis, Aunt Karen’s baby Lewis, Gene Reed, Stanley R. Behymer, Almeda Reed, and E. Kay Hilliard.
Services to celebrate his life will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, June 2, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Final resting place will be Garden of the Cross at Macon County Memorial Park thanks to Aunt Karen and Uncle Tom of Texas.
