Brenda Sue Garner, 58, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 , at Fair Havens Christian Home.
Brenda was born February 4, 1959, in Vandalia, to William Edward and Mary Jane (Roberts) Ellis. She married Joseph Garner. He passed away September 16, 2010.
She is survived by two daughters, Mellinda (Ruffin Petty) of Decatur and Jamie (Sidney) Walker of Decatur; seven grandchildren, Bryson Benjamin, Billy Justice, Eric Justice, Brandon Justice, Treshaun Roberts, Serenity Roberts and Jaylin Petty; four brothers, Larry (Janet) Ellis of Decatur, Darrell Ellis of Decatur, Delbert Ellis of Decatur, Ronnie (Twila) Ellis of Huntsville, AL; five sisters, Sharon (Steve)Brown of Oreana, Judy (Ed) Taylor of Stewartson, IL and Janice Durbin of Decatur; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, William Keith Ellis, Jerry Ellis and Bobby Ellis; two sisters, Linda Kay Ellis and Betty J. Ellis.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Brenda Sue Garner will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2017, at Fairlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
