Brenda K. White's Obituary
Decatur-Brenda K. White, 65, of Decatur, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Brenda’s life will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in the chapel of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Entombment with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in the Pieta Mausoleum at Graceland Cemetery. Brenda was born October 9, 1944 in Kinmundy, Illinois the daughter of Darrell and Rochelle (Butts) West. She was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family, puzzles, and watching tv especially game shows, detective stories, and gossip shows. She married William Joseph White September 15, 1959. He preceded her in death May 12, 1996.
She leaves behind her son; Joe Lee White of Decatur, daughters; Laura Sheri Walters of Beach City, Texas and Linda Kay Jones of Bloomington, grandchildren; Tawni, Alex, and Teddi White of Decatur, Shanna and Devin Walters of Beach City, Texas, and Scottie Wiliford IV, twins Chandler and Conner Ellis of Bloomington, great-grandchildren; Malachi Myers, Ariella and Jasmine White of Decatur, and Shayleigh Bartlett of Beach City, Texas, brothers; Larry West of Salem and David West of Decatur, sisters; Judy Green, Linda Davis, and Mary West of Decatur and Alice Cash of Albin.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, husband, and brother Walter West.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at McKinley Court, Decatur Memorial Hospital, and DMH Hospice for all of their loving care.
