Bryce Allen Ashenfelter's Obituary
Bryce Allen Ashenfelter, 66, of Cerro Gordo, IL, passed away on Friday (02-03-2023) in his home.
Bryce was born on September 15, 1956, in Decatur, IL, the son of Donald Wayne Ashenfelter and Wilma (Meyerholz) Ashenfelter. He married Connie Koshinski on September 19, 1993, in Decatur, IL.
Bryce was a member of Church of the Brethren in Cerro Gordo, IL. He worked at Firestone in Decatur, IL for 27 and a half years. Bryce loved the outdoors in which he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Bears.
He is survived by his wife Connie of almost 30 years of marriage; 3 sons: Michael Ashenfelter of Decatur, IL, Nick Embree and wife Jen of Cerro Gordo, IL, Matt Embree of Cerro Gordo, IL; 2 daughters: Mandy Ashenfelter and Lindsay McQueen; 2 sisters: Jeanie Sager and husband Paul of Astoria, IL, and Rhonda Higgs and husband Danny of Gallatin, TN; 9 grandchildren; his parents Wilma F. Cable and husband Carl of Cerro Gordo, IL, and his four closest friends: Kelly Huff, Brian Shain, Berry Cripe, Steve Hayes.
Bryce was preceded in death by his father and one brother Dennis Cable.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday (02-11-2023) at Church of the Brethren in Cerro Gordo, IL casual attire is requested.
