Decatur-Bueford Waddell, 83, of Decatur, passed away at 4 a.m. Saturday, May 01, 2010 at McKinley Court.
Services to celebrate Bueford's life will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment with military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard and 'Flight Home' Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Bueford was born September 29, 1926 in Kennett, Missouri the son of Harve and Sadie (Ward) Waddell. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps and USAF during W.W. II, Korean War, and Vietnam. He retired with over twenty-one years of service to his country. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed playing country music on his guitar. He married Lovelle Baggett on October 4, 1950.
He leaves behind Lovelle, his beloved wife of fifty-nine years, sons; Mike Waddell and wife Pamella of Charleston, Steve Waddell and wife Carol of Apopka, Florida, Jeff Waddell and wife Stacy of Vancouver, Washington, and Jay Waddell and wife Kristine of Mt. Zion, daughters; Barbara Poghen and husband William of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Debbie Bricker and husband Mark of Decatur, brother; Robert Waddell and wife Ramona of Kennett, Missouri, sister; Brenda Strange and husband Danny of San Antonio, Texas, twelve grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and four sisters.
