Camilla Hemrich's Obituary
Decatur – Camilla H. Hemrich, 93, of Decatur, passed away at 7:17 pm Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Heartland of Decatur.
Funeral Liturgy to celebrate Camilla’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 17, 2009, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, with Father James Palakudy, Presider. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Interment with the “Flight Home” ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to assist the family in care of Charity of Choice. Camilla was born on October 10, 1916 in Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Julius and Veronica (Ochs) Rohr. She married Edwin F. Hemrich on September 22, 1945 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1999. Camilla was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.
She will be sadly missed by her one son: Ed (Barbara) Hemrich of Decatur, one daughter: Georgia (Asa) Sloan of Gallatin, Tennessee, one brother: Al Rohr of Olney, IL, four grandchildren: Brian Hemrich of Decatur, Kim Ralph of Decatur, Brenda Clarke of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Debbie Sloan of Gallatin, TN, and one great grandchild: Nina Clarke.
She was reunited in Heaven with her husband: Edwin, her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
