Carol Jeanne Douglass' Obituary
Carol Jeanne Douglass, 60, of Decatur, IL passed away July 10, 2023 at her residence.
Carol was born November 4, 1962 in Highland Park, IL the daughter of Robert and Joan (Ghilain) Larson.
Carol had earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Hawaii and had worked as an art instructor.
She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed painting and ceramics and was also an avid reader.
Surviving are her children, Eugene Douglass (Amy Jeffries) of Athens, GA, Robert Douglass (Ayanna) of North Carolina; mother, Joan Ashkin of Decatur, IL; sister, Susan Nichols (Steve) of Decatur, IL; half sister, Chris Barnett (Scott) of Scottsdale, AZ; half brother, Thomas Larson (Kate) of Colorado; grandchildren, Evelyn and Michelle Douglass; three nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Graveside funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 14, 2023 at Fairlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
