Carol E. Logan's Obituary
Decatur-Carol E. Logan, 70, of Decatur, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Carol was born August 25, 1943 in Decatur, the daughter of Carney R. and Iva E. (Miller) Hogan. She spent her life dedicated to her family. She was a homemaker and stay at home mom for her children and then helped to raise her grandchildren. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Her family deeply appreciated her daily care, love, and support. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, going to the riverboat, and playing the lottery. She married James L. Logan August 24, 1963. They were able to celebrate their fifty year wedding anniversary together.
Carol leaves behind her husband James, sons Anthony Logan and Joey Logan, daughter Kristina (Mark) Pyles, mother Iva Hogan, grandchildren Heather, Felicia, and Jessica Logan, Brittany Phipps, and Bruce Doyle, brother Craig Hogan, brothers-in-law Derald (Doris) Logan, Gerald Logan, John “Bob” (Donna) Logan, Dwayne Jr. Logan, and Tom (Janet) Logan, and sisters-in-law Joan Hogan, Mary Ragan, and Darlene Logan.
Carol was reunited in Heaven with her father, brother Elwin Hogan, and daughter-in-law Mary Logan.
She will be deeply missed.
Services to celebrate Carol’s life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
