Carol Ann Logemann's Obituary
Decatur-Carol Ann Logemann, 70, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, November 01, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Carol was born December 25, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Shirley (Booth) Farkas. She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Bachelor Degree in Science and Education. Carol was a third grade school teacher with Decatur Public School District #61 retiring after thirty-five years of service. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, American Association of University Women, and other local clubs and associations. Carol married her college sweetheart Larry Logemann August 6, 1966 in Bennington, Nebraska. He preceded her in death February 21, 2015.
Carol is survived by her sister Darlene Sufranski of Illinois, nieces Jasmine and Nicole and Rachel Van Ettan all of Illinois, Kris Reiswig and husband Darwin of Nebraska, and Juli Logemann of Califronia, nephew Ronald Van Ettan of Illinois, brother-in-law Darrell Logemann and wife CoeLeta of Nebraska, the family of Tim Sass of Nebraska, and recently born twins great-niece Eva and great-nephew Eric.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry, sister Rosie, niece Jackie Stork and her sons Justin and Jason.
Memorial services to celebrate Carol’s life will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3778 N Water St, Decatur, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Decatur.
