Carolyn S. Aldrich's Obituary
Carolyn Sue “Cay” (Watts) Aldrich, 68, of Decatur passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2013 in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Cay was born on September 23, 1944 in Taylorville the daughter of Lloyd Raymond and Georgia Geneva (Daniels) Watts. She had worked for Borg Warner, Schwartz’s Restaurant, Main Hanger Restaurant, and Best Western. She was also a lobbyist for the Restaurant worker’s Association
Surviving are her sons, Richard Atteberry of Chicago; Brian Scott Atteberry of Decatur; daughters, Angelia Harmon (Larry) of Warrensburg; Lisa Aldrich of Decatur; Christiana Sperry (Kent) of Long Creek; brother, Wayne Watts (Cheryl) of Decatur; sister, Connie Bromley (Roger) of Joliet; grandchildren, Danielle Wright (Bruce Dudgeon); Andrea Mitchell (Stephen); Samantha Sperry; Allison Sperry; Ashleigh Campbell; Robert Campbell Jr.; great-grandchildren, Dylan Weddle; Mykaela Dudgeon, Damon Dudgeon; and Anakalia Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Merrill Watts, Vera June Watts, and one grandchild, Zachary Brian Atteberry.
The family would like to thank the staff at Cancer Care Specialist of Central Illinois especially Dr. Guaglianone, Kindra, Nita, Helen and Shundrea for all their care.
Service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be 7 PM Friday, August 16, 2013 in Mound Road Christian Church with Pastors Roger Bromley and Jeff Watts. Visitation will be 1 hour before service in the church. Burial will be a t a later date in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Ramsey. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
