Carolyn Isaac's Obituary
Carolyn Isaac, 79, of Decatur passed away on July 11, 2023 with loved ones at her side. Carolyn was the youngest of 4 born to Forrest "Blackie" and Geneva Reed. She was born on January 16, 1944 in Maroa, Il. and married Ernie "Ray" Isaac July 29, 1968.
Carolyn enjoyed painting, craft shows, crocheting and shopping. She was a long time member of the Metropolitan Baptist church. Carolyn was a thoughtful and kind person who never met a stranger. She had many friends and touched so many people that her love will never be forgotten.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter Lisa Benton, those who knew her as Grandma Carol, numerous nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest “Blackie” and Geneva Reed; husband Ernie “Ray” Isaac; brothers, Charles and Richard Reed and sister, Bettie Voyles Hampton.
A visitation will be held for Carolyn on Monday, July 17, 2023, from 10-11am at Metropolitan Baptist Church. A funeral will be held directly after visitation at the church with burial to follow at Point Pleasant Cemetery.
