Carolyn Alida Wilder's Obituary
Decatur – Carolyn Alida Wilder, 86, of Decatur, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021.
Carolyn was born February 12, 1935 in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of James and Margaret Ruth Davis. Carolyn married Eugene Wilder on January 15, 1955. They were married for 57 years until his death and she was an incredibly loving wife until her passing.
Carolyn was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. A truly kind soul and beloved friend to many. She showed incredible love and strength through Eugene’s illness. She did the same during her illness, exhibiting much courage yet all the while concerned about her loved ones and friends.
Carolyn is survived by her sons: Jerry of Prescott, AZ and Todd (Ginger, daughter Jennifer) of Sheridan, WY; grandchildren Peter Wilder, Audra Drosos, John Wilder and Tori Weybright; four great grandchildren; brother Doug.
She was preceded in death by Eugene who she loved so dearly, her parents, sisters Lucille and Pat, and brother Richard.
A graveside service at Fairlawn Cemetery in Decatur will be held on Tuesday, February 23 at 11:00 am.
