Cathy J. Fergason's Obituary
Cathy J. Fergason, 57, of Decatur, IL, passed away March 22, 2020 at her daughter’s home.
Cathy was born July 20, 1962, in Brawley, IL, the daughter of Edward Hemingway and JoAnn (Morris) Hopkins. She married Keith Fergason, April 6, 1999 in Las Vegas, NV. She worked as a federal grain inspector for the US Govt.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading tarot cards, crossword puzzles and camping.
Surviving are her husband, Keith; children, Karey Keller (Brian) of Harristown, IL, Daniel Denton (Amy) of Warrensburg, IL, Shawn Carpenter of Decatur, IL; brothers, Josiah Paul Hemingway of Memphis, TN, Timothy Hemingway (Jennifer) Decatur, IL; sister, Karen Wright of Ramsey, IL; grandchildren, Morgan, Bailee, Audree, Ellee, Dakota, and Keegan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Debbie Hemingway.
Private memorial services will be conducted at Christ United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
