Charlene Moore's Obituary
Charlene Moore, 81, passed away on February 3, 2019, at Generations of McKinley Court.
Charlene was born on March 12, 1937. She married Herman Moore in 1956, and they celebrated fifty-two years together before he passed away in 2008. She was a homemaker and worked for Carson Pirie Scott.
Charlene’s family remembers her as a strong woman who faced breast cancer with will and determination. She taught her family the importance of a quickly sent thank you note, that people always appreciate a Christmas card, and that you should not pass up an excellent bargain. She enjoyed a good family recipe, her vacations with Herman in Hawaii, a good book, Cardinals baseball, and spending time with loved ones. She was known for showing her affection through cupcakes and cookies. She loved deeply and will be truly missed.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Beulah and James Eldon Potts, and one brother, Gene “Sonny” Potts. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Mark) Beckett and Lisa (Ron) McCarty; one granddaughter, Rachel (Patrick) Miller; and one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Miller.
