Charles Lee Brawner's Obituary
Charles Lee Brawner, 72, of Decatur, IL, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday (03-24-2026) at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Charles was born on November 13, 1953, in Missouri the son of Charles Leeroy Brawner and Lavieta Mae (Black) Brawner.
Charles served his country in the United States Air Force. He loved to shoot pool, ride his trike motorcycle, and going fishing all over the State of Illinois.
He is survived by his three sons: Jesse E. Thompson; William R. Best; and Dustin T. Brawner and girlfriend Mikalia Cunningham, all of Decatur, IL.; one grandchild Ciara Thompson, two great-grandchildren; one brother Phil Brawner and wife Theresa of Florida; and two sisters: Joyce Umfleet of Arizona and Pam Jack and husband Myron of Decatur, IL.;
A Private Graveside service will be held at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL.
