Charles R. Doering's Obituary
Decatur-Charles R. Doering, 63, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 in his home with his family by his side.
He was born June 27, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of John and Majorie (Gabrielson) Doering. He proudly served his country in the USAF during Vietnam. He was the owner/operater of Doering Dental Lab. He was a member of the Pontiac Club and enjoyed classic cars, guns, and guitars. He married Deborah Sue Gregory July 17, 1971 in Decatur. She preceded him in death November 7, 1996.
He leaves behind his son Rick Doering and wife Sara of Decatur, grandchildren Marley, Zoe, and Daetyn, and brother, John Doering of St. Louis, MO, and fiancé Carol Bunton of Decatur.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents and wife.
Services to celebrate Charles’ life will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 6, 2013 at Salem Baptist Church, 2650 S. Taylorville Rd, with Pastor Dean Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the church. Burial with military honors will be in Graceland Cemetery.
