Charles "Wayne" Feller's Obituary
Charles “Wayne” Feller, 89, of Decatur passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013 in the Illinois Veteran’s Home, Quincy, IL.
Wayne was born on October 21, 1924 in the farm near Mattoon, IL, the son of Esaue and Pearl (Olmsted) Feller. An Army Veteran of WWII, Wayne worked in sales for H&H Lighting. He was a member of Heartland Community Church and the American Legion. Wayne married Dorothy “Dot” Smith on November 6, 1947 in Bethany and she preceded him death on November 15, 1997.
Surviving is his son, Larry (Marcia) Feller of Mt. Zion; grandchildren: Jason (Danielle) Feller of Mt. Zion, Kristy (Jeff) Deckard of Chatham, Jesse (Shelly) Feller of Mt. Zion, and Jonathon (Juliana) Feller of NC; great grandchildren: Elayna, Destiny, Alivia, Mason, Isabelle, and Miles; sister, Olga Freemon of AZ; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Rick, brother John, sisters Naomi and Marie, and great granddaughter Kayla.
Funeral Service to Celebrate Wayne’s life will be 10:30 AM Saturday, December 21, 2013 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Bowman officiating; visitation will begin at 9:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard.
