Charles "Chucky" Loehr's Obituary
Charles “Chucky” Chanh Loehr, 47, of Decatur, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016.
Chucky was born July 14, 1968, in Saigon, Vietnam, to Steven Michael and Marina Nguyen (Nguyen) Loehr. He graduated from Eisenhower High School and attended Lincoln Technical School in Indianapolis, IN for mechanics. He married Rebecca Wright on September 10, 1994, in Decatur.
He loved to travel the country and watch his son race motor cross. Zach won many trophies but Chucky’s greatest trophy was his son. Chucky was so very proud of his son and all his accomplishments. He had a huge heart and always put everyone else first before himself. And no one walked away hungry, Chucky loved to cook for everyone.
He is survived by his son, Zachary (Nicole Stahulak) Loehr of Decatur; his parents, Steven and Marina Loehr of Decatur; his brother, Micky (Lesley) Loehr of Decatur; paternal grandparents, Charles and Marge Loehr of Decatur; five uncles, Richard Longcor of Pearland, TX, Michael(Sharon) Longcor of Decatur, Daniel (Selena) Longcor of Decatur, Ken Loehr and Michael (Janet) Loehr both of Decatur; two aunts, Sue (Dayton) Dudas of Henderson, TN and Rose (Chris) Wood of Decatur; one nephew, Kooper Loehr; one niece, Karmen Loehr; faithful companions, Moto, Gracie, Cabella and Maci.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William C. and CeCe D. Longcor and his paternal great-grandparents, Charles and Mildred Loehr.
Visitation to celebrate the life of Chucky Loehr will be Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Fresenius Kidney Care Center – 1830 South 44th Street, Decatur, IL 62521
