Charles Theodore "Ted" Shelton's Obituary
Charles Theodore “Ted” Shelton, 80, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away April 4, 2025, in his home.
Ted was born in Decatur on October 9, 1944, the son of Edward and Erma (Furry) Shelton. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy. After his service, he returned home and began working as a carpet layer. He later became a truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was a member of the Elks lodge.
Ted is survived by his children Andrea Rae (Rick) Walters, David Shelton, and Daniel P. Shelton; brother Lynn (Pam) Shelton; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Joseph A. Shelton.
