Charles Lynn Wade's Obituary
Charles Lynn Wade, 78, of Decatur, Illinois, passed away September 29, 2022 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Charles was born in Decatur on February 27, 1944, the son of Charles and Evelyn (Sunderland) Wade. After graduating from high school, he began working in the foundry at Mueller’s. He later became a foreman and retired from ADM. He had a great interest in old cars and was proud of his 1955 Chevy. Charles married Patricia Brosend on October 23, 1966 in Decatur.
Charles is survived by his wife; son Eric Wade of Decatur; brothers Jerry (Nancy) Wade of Decatur and Mark (Donna) Wade of Sherman, Illinois; and sister Janet Castleman of Decatur. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Todd Wade, and sisters Elaine Maddox and Carolyn Fitzgerald.
Funeral services for Charles will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022. A visitation will be held beginning at 9:00am, which will be followed by a graveside service at 10:00am in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
