Charlotte Imogene Masters' Obituary
Decatur-Charlotte Imogene Masters, 83, of Decatur, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.
Services to celebrate Charlotte’s life will 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in the chapel of Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Pastor Glen Hoese, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Charlotte was born January 11, 1926 in Old Mode, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Martha (Walls) Nichols. She retired from G.E. Company. Charlotte was of the apostolic faith and was a former member of the Calvary Apostolic Church and the Eastside Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and watching Country Music Television and the Wheel of Fortune. She married Mr. Alwert, Hubrich, Tyner, and Darrell Masters in 1975. Darrell Masters preceded her in death February 1, 1991.
She leaves behind sons; Mark and Larry Hubrich of Decatur, daughters; Nancy Rokash and husband Larry of Forsyth and Jackie Tyner of Decatur, sisters; Vesta Buckley, Florence Smith, Violet Sullivan, Jenny Snyder and husband Leroy, and Lois Means and husband Allen all of Decatur, grandchildren; Todd, Craig, and Michael Overheul, Destiny and Brandon Burries, Tiffany Pennypacker, and Rachel, Lisa, and Christian Hubrich, five great-grandchildren, and friend Kenneth Carter.
She was greeted in heaven by her parents, husband Darrell, son Roger Hubrich, brothers William, Max, and Johnny Nichols, and sisters Myrtle Hoese and Nellie Knapp.
