Charlotte L. Vaughn's Obituary
Decatur-Charlotte L. Vaughn, 92, of Decatur, went with the angels to Heaven on Friday, June 22, 2012.
Services to celebrate Charlotte's life will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial with 'Flight Home' Ceremony' will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery in Long Creek. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
Charlotte was born December 10, 1919 in Decatur, the daughter of Frank and Eva (Johnson) Rupert. She married her one true love Robert 'Bob' Vaughn July 18, 1937. She was happiest being a wife and mother. She loved her family with all of her heart. Charlotte and her husband Bob were former owners of Rupert's Sport Shop of Decatur.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory sons Gary Vaughn of Bloomington, Richard (Ricki) Vaughn of Decatur, daughters Nancy (Ed) Barrowcliff of Palm Dessert, California and Susan (Jack) Haney of Decatur, ten grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband Bob, brother Robert Rupert, and sister Lenora Blakeman.
May her legacy of love live on, we will miss you mom until we meet again.
