Chester Wilcox's Obituary
Chester Wilcox, 75, of Stonington, IL passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 in his home.
Chet was born on October 22, 1940 in Des Moines, IA the son of Chester I and Vivian (Spencer) Wilcox. He worked at SMTD security with his daughter Judy for the past two years. He served in the Navy in 1956. Chet was a musician and played the pedal steel guitar. He played in Nashville with stars such as Reba McEntire, George Jones, Tanya Tucker to name a few. He also built and sold them as a hobby. He was good at what he did and passed the business down his boss Earl Amos.
He was a dedicated husband and great father, grandfather, brother, and friend to everyone. We will miss his beautiful smile and generous soul. He will be deeply missed. Love you daddy, Judy.
Honoring Chester’s wishes cremation will take place in Graceland/Fairlawn Cremation Center. There will be no public services.
