Christopher Scott Kennedy, 47, of Decatur, IL passed away March 3, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL.
Chris was born August 28, 1975 in Decatur, IL, the son of Steve Wayne and Melody Kennedy. He married Jaimie Hammons on February 1, 2016 in Fitchburg, MS.
Chris had worked as a personal assistant and was a person who enjoyed helping others in need. He was a member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene. He had a love for traveling and especially loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Jaimie; children, Kristyn Kennedy of Decatur, IL, Faith Ann Kennedy of Decatur, IL, Dominic Angel Steve Wayne Kennedy of Decatur, IL; mother, Melody Ann Wood of Decatur, IL; sister, Melissa Kennedy of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Skylar, Isabelle, Amyra, Alijah; the Warnsley cousins; Lewis Family and special friend, Gomer.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kaleb Goodwin; father, Steve; grandmothers, Hazel and Rose and cousin, Dorianne Warnsley.
Memorial Service will be 2 PM Saturday March 11, 2023 at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.
Inurnment will be at Graceland Cemetery.
