Cindy Dawn Kozeliski, 72, of Decatur, Il, passed away at 6:31 P.M. on Tuesday (02-03-2026) in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, IL.
Cindy was born on March 24, 1953, at Kirby Hospital in Monticello, IL, the daughter of Don Noecker and Mary (Hayes) Noecker. She married Jon Christopher Kozeliski on August 6, 1977, in Springfield, IL. They were married for 48 years and spent their lives in Decatur, IL.
Cindy worked for Country Insurance for 35 years. Her diligence, passion, and hard work ethic promoted her through the ranks, ending her career at the top of her profession, respected and admired by colleagues.
Cindy will be remembered for her kindness, strength, zest for life, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed.
Cindy shared a devoted marriage of 48 years with her husband Jon (JC). They were each other's constant source of love, strength, and companionship.
Cindy had a special bond with her grandkids and found her greatest happiness in their art, stories, sports, and milestones.
Nothing made her smile more than time spent with her grandkids and her love for them was endless.
Cindy is survived by her husband Jon (JC) Kozeliski and her daughter Abby, Abby’s husband Eddie, and her two grandkids Jake and Quinn Peterson.
The apples of her eye were her grandkids Quinn and Jake.
Cindy loved animals, especially dogs. Her golden doodle, Jerry, has always been right by her side and they loved each other very much.
Cindy loved living on the lake, sunsets, quiet mornings with coffee, and time spent with her family and friends.
