Clark D. "Dave" Peterson's Obituary
Clark D. “Dave” Peterson, 60, of Decatur, died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in St. John’s Hospice, Springfield.
Dave was born June 30, 1953, in Alamogordo, NM, the son of Clark J. and Cynthia (Ireland) Peterson. He worked as a manager for United Parcel Service and loved to spend time with his family, fish, do wood working and gamble. He married Tari L. Sterling August 23, 1975 in Decatur.
Surviving is his wife, Tari of Decatur; sons: Donnie (Jill) Peterson of Gilberts, and Tony (Lindsey) Peterson of Decatur; grandchildren: Andrew, Blake, Adyson, Braden, and Ethan; mother, Cynthia Peterson of Decatur; siblings: Kent (Julie) Peterson, Jennifer Peterson, Melinda Westwater, and Tim (Debbie) Peterson all of Decatur; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Dave was preceded in death by his father.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 10 to 11 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., Rev. Richard Weltin officiating. Burial will take place in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
