Claude S. Inman's Obituary
Decatur-Claude S. Inman, 97, of Decatur, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 in his home.
Claude was born February 23, 1916 in Vandalia the son of Everett and Ida (Weidner) Inman.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married Alice Albert December 24, 1943 in Decatur. She preceded him in death June 2, 2008. He was an avid Cubs fan, a member of Mason Blue Lodge Macon 8, Bloomington Consistory, Shriners and Sullivan Commandery. He retired from Mueller Company after 40 years of service.
He leaves behind his son in law James Frydenger of Cerro Gordo; grandchildren Joseph (Michele) Frydenger of Decatur, William (Ruth) Frydenger of Cerro Gordo, Rebecca (Patrick) Brown of Hillsborough, North Carolina, and Jason (Julie) Frydenger of Cerro Gordo, ten great-grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 1 great great great grandchild; 2 step great grandchildren; first wife Rosemary Dunaway, mother of his only child and several nieces and nephews; brother Everett (Betty) Inman of Decatur and sister Edna Hale of Branson.
He was reunited in Heaven with his parents, daughter Sandra whom he loved and missed dearly and brother Wayne Inman.
Funeral services to celebrate Claude's life will be 10am Wednesday, June 19, 2013 in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery and conclude with military rites by the Macon County Honor Guard and Flight Home Ceremony Visitation will be Tuesday June 18, 2013 in the funeral home from 5-7pm with Masonic Service at 7pm. Burial. Memorials may be directed to Shriners Hospital or Camp Emanuel.
The family would like to thank Dr. Keith Smith, Dr. Goetter, Chelp, Catholic Charities, Addus Healthcare , companions, and helpers; Carla, Carolyn, and Diane for all the love and care and compassion.
