Claudell White's Obituary
Claudell White, Sr. 87, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Fair Havens Christian Home.
Claudell was born May 4, 1929, in Jackson, Tennessee, to Booker T. and Anna (Day) White. He married Dorothy Mae Williams on October 25, 1957, in Rock Island County, IL. She passed away July 31, 1999. Claudell was a production worker for John Deere for many years. He loved carpentry, construction, the outdoors, and of course, John Deere.
He is survived by his two sons, Claudell (Karen) White, Jr. of Decatur and Hugh white of Rock Island, IL; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; several close friends and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy; and two brothers.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nursing staff of Fair Havens Christian Home and DaVita Macon County Dialysis.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Claudell White, Sr. will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the Star of Hope Mausoleum in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1p.m. to 2 p.m. before the service at the mausoleum. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to DaVita Macon County Dialysis.
