Cleotha Gee's Obituary
.Mr. Cleotha Gee, 88, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 in Decatur Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
Cleotha was born January 4, 1929 to the late Gus and Bessie (Harris) Gee in Carthage, TN. He was a member of the NAACP and VFW for many years. He also worked at Wagner Castings Company where he was an iron pourer. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his grand-children and great-grandchildren,
Cleotha leaves to cherish fond memories three sons, Clifford Gee, Eric Pugh and Wayne Scott Pugh; Two daughters, Janice (Daniel) Scholten and Donita Scott; Four brother, Ellis Gee, Moses Gee, Robert Gee and Lenard “Bee” Gee; Twelve grand-children, George, Nicole, Brenna, Kevin, Evan, Glen, LaMarkas, LeAlvin, Eric Jr., Tykesia, LaKeala and Ahmari; Fourteen great-grandchildren, Adriana, Ahllaya, Aaron, Micah. Nolan, Glen, Zoey, Aallyah, Aubrey, Samaria, Samantha, Titus, Khalil and Ni’Ray; aunt, Hattie Clayton; uncle, Hubert Gee and a host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind three special cousins, Steven Lockart Gee, Kenneth Gee and Katherine Gee.
Cleotha was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, a son, a brother and a great grand-daughter, Samantha Marie Young.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Cleotha Gee will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at New Salem Baptist Church 352 W. Wood St, Decatur. Visitation
will be an hour prior at 10 a.m at the church.. Burial will be in Graceland Fairlawn Cemetery in Decatur. The family of Cleotha Gee is being served by the Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, 2091 N.
