Connie Ae Carlson's Obituary
Clinton – Chong Ae “Connie” Carlson, 87, of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Connie was born on August 15, 1938, in Chulwon-kun, Kangwon-do, Korea, to Hak Chae Chang and Ip Boon Lee. They preceded her in death. Connie married Aaron Leroy Carlson on October 19, 1960, in Seoul, South Korea. Aaron preceded her in death on June 30, 2022.
Aaron and Connie have four sons: Nick of Clinton, IA, Michael (Connie) of Decatur, Rick (Cheryl) of Normal, IL and David (Sandy) of Marengo, IL. Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Brandy, Nicholas (Anna), Lindsey and Erica; Michael, Daniel (Charla) and Katy; Stephanie (Michal) and Cameryn. Connie was also great grandmother to Jason, Joseph and Jacob; Aiden, Charlotte and Evangeline; Gabrielle, Grayson and Layla; and Elayne. Connie is survived by a brother and sister in Korea.
A private family service will be held. Burial will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL.
