Decatur-Corrine Ruth Burdick, 85, of Decatur, passed away Monday, June 1, 2015 in her home with her family by her side.
Corrine was born December 31, 1929 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Everett and Ruth (Rhodes) Rahn. She previously co-owned/operated H&B Ceramics. Corrine was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, ceramics, floral arranging, cooking, and baking. She married Charles “Dean” Burdick December 31, 1950 in Decatur. They shared over sixty-four years together.
Corrine leaves behind her husband Dean, son Gary Burdick and wife Deborah of Scottsdale, Arizona, sister Patricia Harrison and husband Dean of Decatur, sister-in-law Betty Rahn of Decatur, grandchildren Kelli Burdick of Scottsdale, Arizona, Shelby Burdick of Phoenix, Arizona, and Colby Burdick of Phoenix, Arizona.
Corrine was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gene Rahn, and sister Ann Kunze.
Private family services to celebrate Corrine’s life will be held at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or DMH Hospice.
