Curtis Beasley, 64, entered day of rest on Thursday May 27th, 2021 @ 1pm. surrounded by his wife and family, at his home in Decatur, Illinois.
Curtis Beasley was born December 13, 1956 in Brownsville, Tennessee to Tommie L. Beasley and Geraldine Adams Beasley.
Curtis dedicated his working time to Mueller's Factory in Decatur, Ill. as a Machinist for 25 years. Once retired he continued his lawn and garden service for local businesses and residential customers in the surrounding area. Curtis’ passions were fishing, hunting, and gardening. He enjoyed grilling, playing horseshoes, dominos, cards, cookouts, dancing while listening to his favorite music, and celebrating life with his family and friends.
Curtis is survived by his loving wife, children and family. Dallas Beasley, married January 13, 1976, celebrating a total 47 years together. Daughter, Gela Aileen Beasley (Fiance-Terrie Wallace) of Memphis, Tenn. Son, Zebulin Curtis Beasley of Decatur, Ill. Father, Tommie L. Beasley of Millikin, Tenn. Brother, Jimmie Beasley of Decatur, Ill. Sisters, Martha Russell of Kansas City, Kansas and Clara Beasley of Decatur, Ill. Including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Adams Beasley. Grandson, Kyllil Lamar. Brother’s, Darvin Beasley, Bobby Fitzgerald Beasley, Tommie Beasley and Marshall Beasley Sr. Sister’s, Lisa Beasley, Susan Beasley, and Willie B. Sutton.
Homegoing Services for Curtis will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Tyrone Gilliam officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
