Dale Eugene McBride's Obituary
Dale Eugene McBride, 95, of Decatur, Illinois, died at 12:35am Friday, November 29, 2024, in his home.
Services will be at 11am Friday, December 6, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial in Graceland Cemetery will follow the service.
Dale was born on October 9, 1929, in Cerro Gordo, Illinois, the son of Emery L. McBride and Mary Ruth Cripe.
Dale was employed by Caterpillar Tractor Company and retired in 1989. He was a member of the Decatur Church of the Brethren.
He married Jean Eby on November 22, 1951.
Surviving are his wife Jean; sons Gregg and wife Jackie of Houston, TX; son Bruce of Minneapolis, MN; son Scott and wife Kate of St. Paul, MN; daughter Jan Kibby and husband Steve of Peoria, IL; son Gary and wife Kathy of Coltons Point, MD; daughter Jill McBride of Decatur, IL; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Carolyn Bailey of Ostrander, OH; brother Jim McBride and husband Sean Sutter of Stockton, CA; and sister Judi VanMatre of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his son Mark and sisters Velma, Phyllis, and Lois.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heifer International or Northwest Community Fund.
