Damin E. Kaylor's Obituary
Damin Eugene Kaylor died peacefully on December 30, 2016 in Decatur, IL at the age of 42.
Damin was born on July 18, 1974, in Park Ridge, IL to Eric and Susan Kaylor. He graduated from Stephen Decatur in 1993. He was currently pursuing a degree in welding at Richland Community College, which he took great pride in. He suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2010. Despite his struggles, Damin had the motivation and desire to overcome all obstacles in his path. Above all else, he loved his family so much. To his nieces and nephews, he will always be remembered as the “Grumpy Uncle,” which he took great pride in.
Damin is survived by his children Kyly, Darrin, Jaelin, and Leandra Kaylor; his grandmother, Mary Chapple of Chico, CA; his mother, Susan Kaylor of Decatur, Il; father, Eric (Buena) Kaylor of Belen, NM; brother, Kyle (Holly) Kaylor of Decatur, Il; brother, Logan (Jasmine) Kaylor of Decatur, Il; his nieces and nephews: Malachi, Amery, Colton, and Kaylyn of Decatur, Il; and various aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved and cherished him.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard Chapple; grandparents, Gene and Marjorie Kaylor.
A visitation to celebrate the life of Damin Kaylor will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday January 5th, 2017, at Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3 pm.
