Dan R. Reynolds' Obituary
Dan R. Reynolds, 60, of Decatur passed away on Thursday January 24, 2019.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday January 28 at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. A service to honor and celebrate Dan’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday January 29 at First Lutheran Church, 250 W. Decatur St., Decatur IL 62526. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
Dan was born on March 19, 1958 to Norton Jr. And Ardean Reynolds. In his youth, he enjoyed exploring nature as a member of the Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Dan was a lifelong learner who also earned his pilot’s license as a young man and became an avid pianist later in his life. He was dedicated to his career as well and spent nearly 40 years in the food service industry as a technician throughout the midwest. Dan lived a fulfilled life, and his family is sad to see him leave so soon.
Dan is survived by his sons Travis, Alex, Evan, and Kyle Reynolds; granddaughter, Penelope Reynolds; brothers Mike and Steve Reynolds; sister Kathy Reynolds; and several other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Robert Reynolds; and parents Norton Jr. And Ardean Reynolds.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Penelope Reynolds college fund. Please send any monetary gifts in her name to 829 Park Entrance Place, Apt. 1, O’Fallon, IL 62269.
