Daniel Lee Bollhorst's Obituary
Macon- Daniel L Bollhorst, 69, of Macon passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 at his home with his wife by his side.
A service to celebrate the life of Daniel will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 in the Chapel at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home, visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. till the time of the service. Interment will take place at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to the family.
Daniel was born September 5, 1942 in Decatur, Illinois the son of Raymond and Mary Ellen (Holdreith) Bollhorst. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a Jet Mechanic. He retired from Ball Metal Container Company in Williamsburg, Virginia after 21 years of service. Daniel was a loving husband, and a kind, gentle, and patient father, and grandfather. He married Mary Kay Harting in Decatur on October 23, 1965.
He is survived by his wife, sons, Nick and wife Susan, Jason and wife Sherrie, and Andrew; daughter, Audra and husband Tom, grandchildren; Nicolas Jr, Ethan, Caitlin, Madison, Mason, Gabriel, Rachel, Sydney, and Savannah, sister; Peggy Sue, and faithful friend, Tootsie.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The family would like to thank Jack and Maggie Schram for all their kindness. And would like to give a special thanks to the “Virginia Boys” for all the fond memories they provided.
