Daniel L. Brandeberry's Obituary
Decatur-Daniel L. Brandeberry, 73, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 in St. Mary’s Hospital.
Dan was born January 31, 1940 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of Leon and Thelma (Bretz) Brandeberry. He proudly served his country in USAF. He was previously employed as a route salesman with Sunbeam retiring with over thirty-five years of service. He was a member of South Shores Christian Church where he was an elder and served on the board. He also served on the board at Fair Havens Christian Home for many years. He loved to live life, was an excellent cook, and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He married Donna Bobbitt January 24, 1965 in Decatur.
Dan leaves behind his beloved wife Donna, children Daniel (Jennifer) Brandeberry of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Dianna (Mark) Brown of Boody, and Douglas (Krista) Brandeberry of Sullivan, brother John (Maggie) Brandeberry, sixteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Dan was reunited in Heaven with his parents.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff at St. Mary’s ICU.
Services to celebrate Dan’s life have been rescheduled to 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at South Shores Christian Church, 230 Bristol Dr, Decatur, with Pastor Steve Ingram officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services. Family requests casual attire. Burial with military honors conducted by the Macon County Honor Guard will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to South Shores Christian Church.
