I have had Dan work in my unit for the past four years. He was very thoughtful and kind. He had a dry sense of humor which will be missed during the work day. I told him last month he was my hero for helping diligently with the backlog of a coworker who was out of the office for two weeks. He said I did not need to thank him. He was getting paid. I wish I could have joked with him one more time yesterday. A couple of years ago we had decorated his cubicle at Halloween time during his absence with a skeleton sitting in his chair. A sign read that he had died working his fingers to the bone. Dan, oh, Dan! You didn't have to take us so seriously!! We miss you, Dan!! May you enjoy your retirement in a better place!!!
