Daniel Merle Doty, 85, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026, in Decatur, IL, with his family at his side.
He will be remembered for his cheerful willingness to talk with anybody, anywhere.
Dan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alice Bernice Doty, two sons, Michael and Mark, and one grand-daughter, Lila.
Per his wishes, no public ceremony will take place.
