Danny Roberts' Obituary
Danny Roberts Jr., 51, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in his home, from stage IV bile duct liver cancer, with his family at his side.
Services to celebrate Danny’s life will be 11 am Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Star of Hope Mausoleum. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial with “Flight Home” Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family of Danny Roberts Jr. Family requests casual entire for the services.
Danny was born July 24, 1963, in Breeze, IL., the son of Danny Dale Roberts Sr. and Margaret Jean Mathis. He was a manager of the Speed Lube in Forsyth. He enjoyed fishing and restoring classic cars. He married Penny Wilhelm on May 5, 1989. They shared twenty-five years together.
Danny leaves behind his wife Penny of Decatur, mother Jeanne Forker of Decatur, daughters Heather (Shane) Smith of Decatur, Jessica Roberts of Decatur, brothers Dean Roberts of Decatur, Scott Heiserman of Decatur, Phillip (Lou Ann) Heiserman of Decatur, Mark Roberts of Decatur, sister Lisa (Kevin) Romig of Decatur, grandchildren Hailey Smith, Kyleigh Smith, and granddaughter on the way, La’Ryiah Cook, step-mother Vicki Roberts of Springfield, father-in-law Willis Wilhelm of Decatur, mother-in-law Linda Wilhelm of Decatur, several brothers and sisters-in- law, nieces, nephews, and faithful loving canine companion, Buddy.
Danny was reunited in Heaven with his father Danny Dale Roberts Sr., son Travis Roberts, and daughter Danielle Corn.
