Darlene Mae Peveler's Obituary
Darlene Mae Peveler, 79, of Decatur, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Darlene was born June 16, 1940, to Forest William and Helen Virginia (Willes) Jones. She married William “Bill” Muns Peveler on March 20, 1998, in Decatur. She loved sewing, cooking and canning. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary Post #99 and Auxiliary Pup Tent #62 Military Order of the Cootie.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, William “Bill” Peveler; her two children, David (Renee Spangenberg) Rogers and Tammey (Kenneth) Grandon; her six grandchildren, Rowdy Smith, Ryan Smith, Kailey Damron, Kristen Rogers, Dustin Kornewald and Danielle Scott; her eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Bonnie Pambianco.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Ronald Kornewald; her daughter, Krystal Kornewald; and her brother, Virgil Jones.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Darlene Peveler will be 12 noon Thursday, November 7, 2019, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
