Decatur – Darryl L. Ross, 63, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
Darryl was born on February 27, 1963, in Decatur, IL, to Dale Ross Sr and Phyllis (Rogers) Ross. He was a laborer working mainly in construction/home improvement. Darryl loved his job, especially woodworking. He also loved his dogs, music, and working outside. He married Tanya E. Buchanan on January 30, 2004, in Decatur.
Preceding him in death were his mother and son Darryl Jr.
Surviving is his wife, Tanya; children: Alice Smith, Irvion “Lee” Ross, and Tyler Smart; 19 grandchildren; siblings: Kathy (Ron) Hosto, Deborah (James) Fredericks, Don Ross, and Dale (Brenda) Ross Jr; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In honor of Darryl’s wishes, cremation services will be provided by Graceland/Fairlawn Crematory. There will be no services.
